Hyperion Percussion: Marimba

Marimba is our first instrument in the Hyperion Percussion series. To achieve true concert playability, we've captured every nuance of this exquisite full-scale Adams Alpha 5-octave rosewood marimba with Apex frame (C2 – C7). This virtual marimba library includes 4 mallet types, with 10 round-robin variations and 12 dynamic layers per note:1. Innovative Percussion Pedro Carneiro Series PC3 medium soft yarn marimba mallets, for a warm, heavy and yet softly-rounded character. 2. Promark SPYR SM3 medium yarn marimba mallets, for a balanced and classic response with rich tonality. 3. Vic Firth Anders Astrand Orange Series M293 hard yarn vibraphone mallets, for a crisp, sharp and precise attack. 4. Extra-large 1.6" soft rubber mallets, for a springy bounce, smooth attack and a strongly pronounced, blooming sustain.This solo edition of the Hyperion Marimba provides an extremely close, wide stereo position. We center on each bar individually to provide unprecedented detail, clarity and robust presence. This allows you a fully-customizable stereo field over the key-range, and you can freely position the instrument on the soundstage to select the perfect room, hall, algorithmic reverb or environmental impulse with our signature Space tab.
